Software for backups (Veritas Netbackup - why?)

I've seen alot of mention of Vertitas Netbackup, not only on lists
but in job postings too. My most recent backup server experience
was with Legato w/NDNP, and before that the late, great BudTool
(codeveloper of NDMP).

What has Vertitas Netbackup got over Legato Networker, if anything?
I'd really like to know as it seems to be the enterprise backup
product of choice right now.
